Responsibilities for Accounting Assistant
- Processing order confirmations, vendor receipts, vendor billing, etc. in Priority ERP
- Scanning and filing of receiving and all AP related documents into electronic filing system
- Review and match all documents from PO to vendor billing verifying accuracy of parts and prices
- Submission of bill payments according to vendor terms
- Collaboration with other departments to resolve any discrepancies with purchase orders or inventory quantities/pricing
- Collaboration with vendors on billing issues
- May help with other accounting related duties as needed, such as purchasing, inventory or Accounts Receivable
Qualifications for Accounting Assistant
- Associates Degree in Accounting preferred/will consider equivalent job related experience specifically related to Accounts Payable
- Accounts Payable functions from Purchase order to bill payment
- Knowledge of general ledger, must be able to determine GL accounts for posting when necessary
- Comfort with Google Workspace/G Suite; beyond basic skills in Google Sheets/Excel preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with a team as well as well as independently is a must
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Priority would be a plus
- Positive and proactive work attitude
