We are seeking a reliable Event Command Manager to join our team for major events across the country.
This role is essential for facilitating communication among agencies, ensuring seamless operations, and responding promptly to emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- Relay information between various agencies in-person, via cellphone, or utilizing a radio system.
- Log calls on event-specific software provided by clients, maintaining detailed records of communications.
- Take detailed notes and scribe for internal team use during events.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations as they arise.
- Maintain private notes to help inform internal team decisions and discussions.
- Travel and work major events that request this position, showcasing your ability to adapt and thrive in various environments.
- Work locally when no major events are scheduled, demonstrating your versatility and commitment to the company.
Special Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel out of state for work and share lodging arrangements with coworkers.
- Preparedness for long shifts of approximately 12–16 hours/day, including bringing food, snacks, and drinks to sustain energy throughout the day.
- Must possess a working cellphone and essential materials for taking notes.
- Proficiency in efficient note-taking/scribing and computer literacy.
- Ability to efficiently read maps and give clear directions.
- Previous experience in communications, such as Radio Dispatch, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate information clearly.
- Must have a thick skin and the ability to handle constructive criticism during challenging situations.
Schedule:
Shifts will vary based on event/job requirements.
