Per Diem : $100 / day
Start : February 17, 2025
Duration : One year w / extension possible
Work Location : Surry, Virginia (Surry PP)
Schedule : Flexible – 4x10’s or 5x8’s
Job Summary
A Generation Project Manager is needed to support the Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) Major Project management team at Surry Power Station in Surry, VA. Manages or supports specific phases of major projects including business development support, site development, permitting support (air, water, state, local, etc...), scope development, major contract negotiations (equipment, engineering or EPC), engineering, procurement, and construction contracts, construction activities, commissioning and transition to commercial operation. Manages all phases of improvement projects including permitting, contract negotiations, engineering contracts, construction contracts, construction activities and commissioning. Projects ranging in size from major complex projects to smaller improvement projects in existing generating facilities. Major complex projects include Polar Crane upgrade, and R-22 Refrigerant (includes containment chillers and CARF cooling coil replacement).
Top Required Skills
- MUST have significant hands on experience with large overhead crane’s
- MUST have Nuclear Utility Project Management Experience
- MUST be willing to work onsite at Surry Power Station
- MUST have experience leading large capital projects full life cycle at a Nuclear Power Station - Ability to develop, manage and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
- MUST have prior experience managing project risk through collaboration with the project team, station stakeholders, suppliers, and executive leadership.
- MUST have demonstrated ability to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes.
- MUST have prior experience managing large complex projects involving heavy technical engineering and station interface
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
Communicating regularly with team, station stakeholders, and other departments through use of presentations, log entries, and monthly reports.
