BCRA is a dynamic and innovative architectural design firm dedicated to creating inspiring spaces that enhance communities. We are seeking a passionate Entry-Level Interior Designer to join our team and grow alongside industry professionals.
In this role, you’ll have the chance to contribute to a variety of projects, assisting in the design process from concept to completion. You’ll collaborate with experienced designers, gain exposure to different aspects of the industry, and develop your skills in a supportive, creative environment.
Among other things, here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Assist in developing functional and creative design solutions under the guidance of senior interior designers.
- Work in partnership with architects, interior designers, and project teams to support design development.
- Support the design team in researching materials, trends, and best practices to enhance user experience and efficiency.
- Engage with diverse markets, gaining exposure to various design styles and client needs to develop a well-rounded skill set.
Ideal qualifications we seek in a candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design.
- Previously completed an interior design internship, gaining practical experience in design processes, client interactions, and project execution within a professional setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information orally and in writing in a clear, succinct way and in a variety of communication settings and styles to get messages across that have the desired effect.
- Solid interpersonal skills, relates well to a diverse blend of people and personalities, builds rapport, and uses diplomacy and tact.
- Self-aware, knows personal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and limits. Seeks feedback and gains insights from mistakes. Open to coaching and welcomes professional development opportunities.
- Basic proficiency in design software such as Revit, InDesign, Bluebeam and Enscape, with a willingness to develop these skills further.
The details:
- This is a full-time position based in our Tacoma office. Some regional travel is necessary.

- This position offers 20 days of “all inclusive” PTO in the first year that can be used for reasons important to you.
- The pay range for this position is $51,000 – $69,000. New hires and less experienced candidates are typically hired at the lower end to midpoint of the range.
