Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction management practices. This is a prevailing rate job opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee project scheduling to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and making adjustments as necessary.
- Send, and manage project submittals
- Utilize construction management software similar to ProCore for project tracking and documentation.
- Review schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Act as a working superintendent as a key equipment operator, oversee the whole site and employees under you. Delegate tasks to foremen, operators, and laborers.
- Site layout with our GPS equipment and layout equipment, including as builts.
- Perform construction estimating to assess project costs accurately.
- Communicate with the office daily
Experience
- Proven experience in a Superintendent role or similar position within the construction industry.
- Working knowledge of layout, and GPS equipment
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, and construction management software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProCore).
- Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is essential.
- Experience in supervising teams effectively while maintaining a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
