Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction with their selections.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including handling cash and credit card payments.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies, assisting in ordering as needed to ensure stock availability.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering events to provide seamless service.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Assist in training new staff members on bartending techniques and customer service best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bartending or food service role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with patrons.
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate inventory management and sales tracking.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for success in this role.
- A background in hospitality or catering is a plus but not required.
