Job Title: Fractional HR Leader (Part-Time, 25 Hours/Month)

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid - Remote with Occasional Office Visits)
Start Date: April 7 or April 14, 2025
Compensation: $90-$100/hour (Contract)

About the Role

Beacon Hill's Minneapolis, MN based client is seeking an experienced Fractional HR Leader with 10 years of strategic HR leadership experience to provide guidance and support for approximately 25 hours per month (5-7 hours per week). This long-term, fractional role is ideal for a senior HR professional who thrives in a consultative capacity, aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive organizational success.

As a key advisor to senior leadership, this role will focus on strategic HR initiatives rather than day-to-day HR operations. The Fractional HR Leader will work closely with executives to enhance performance management, compensation planning, compliance, and M&A due diligence, among other priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evolve and align performance management standards with strategic business objectives.

  • Apply Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) principles to enhance efficiency and execution.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex HR matters, ensuring expert resolution.

  • Review, refine, and approve updated HR policies to ensure compliance and clear communication.

  • Provide strategic guidance on Workday compensation structures, job profiles, and HR data fields to support business goals.

  • Analyze benefits data from brokers and provide recommendations on plan adjustments.

  • Leverage Employee Satisfaction (ESAT) data to set and track company-wide engagement initiatives.

  • Guide budgeting for bonus structures, COLA adjustments, variable pay, and financial impact assessments.

  • Conduct comprehensive HR due diligence for mergers and acquisitions to ensure smooth integration and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of senior HR leadership experience

  • Experience in small businesses (under 200 employees)

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices

  • Ability to thrive in a fractional consulting role, managing multiple priorities

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills

  • Expertise in performance management, compensation planning, and HR due diligence

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) principles

  • Proficiency in Workday or similar HRIS systems

Work Environment & Additional Details

  • Hybrid flexibility - Occasional in-office presence preferred (Thursdays)

  • This role will be a strategic partner to senior leadership, not involved in day-to-day HR tasks

  • Culture and collaboration are key - the ideal candidate will foster alignment and engagement across teams

This is a long-term contract fractional opportunity for an experienced HR leader to provide strategic guidance and partner with senior leadership.
