The Purchasing coordinator will be responsible for providing logistical support to the Procurement
Manager. This position requires collaboration with Production and various departments and is 100% onsite.
Essential Job Duties
- Create and issue purchase orders according to proper policies and procedures
- Communicate with vendors regarding PO delays; Track orders to ensure timely delivery
- Update internal databases with order details accordingly
- Prepare reports as needed for relevant internal departments:
- Update production report daily by keeping track of pending orders and updating ETAs
- accordingly
- Provide Expected Delivery Reports to Receiving Department
- Maintain Purchasing Log daily
- Communicate with Receiving Department to identify order discrepancies and ensure all
- products arrive in good condition
- Ensure all paperwork arrives with orders. Save digital copies and file away accordingly
- Maintain digital and physical organization of all products files and vendor files
- Place miscellaneous orders for office and lab supplies
- Covers for Procurement Manager when unavailable or on business trips
- Work with the Procurement Manager to complete special projects or tasks as needed
Working Conditions
- This position operated in a professional office environment. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets and fax machines are routinely used in this role

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND Two years of purchasing experience
- Proficient in MS office
- Experience using an ERP/MRP system
- Type 45 WPM
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate degree or higher
- 2 years in a purchasing role
- Able to create and administer a task priority list on company needs
- Proven history of effective supply management
