The Purchasing coordinator will be responsible for providing logistical support to the Procurement

Manager. This position requires collaboration with Production and various departments and is 100% onsite.

Essential Job Duties

  • Create and issue purchase orders according to proper policies and procedures
  • Communicate with vendors regarding PO delays; Track orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Update internal databases with order details accordingly
  • Prepare reports as needed for relevant internal departments:
  • Update production report daily by keeping track of pending orders and updating ETAs
  • accordingly
  • Provide Expected Delivery Reports to Receiving Department
  • Maintain Purchasing Log daily
  • Communicate with Receiving Department to identify order discrepancies and ensure all
  • products arrive in good condition
  • Ensure all paperwork arrives with orders. Save digital copies and file away accordingly
  • Maintain digital and physical organization of all products files and vendor files
  • Place miscellaneous orders for office and lab supplies
  • Covers for Procurement Manager when unavailable or on business trips
  • Work with the Procurement Manager to complete special projects or tasks as needed

Working Conditions

  • This position operated in a professional office environment. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets and fax machines are routinely used in this role

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND Two years of purchasing experience
  • Proficient in MS office
  • Experience using an ERP/MRP system
  • Type 45 WPM

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or higher
  • 2 years in a purchasing role
  • Able to create and administer a task priority list on company needs
  • Proven history of effective supply management
