Overview
The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing training programs that enhance the skills and capabilities of our current and future staff. The role requires a deep understanding of adult learning principles, performance competencies, and instructional design methodologies. The instructional designer is responsible for the creation, project management, and enhancement of high-quality learning materials to support our employees' development and the organization’s strategic goals. The instructional designer must develop training materials to support the training team to build competent and confident staff.
Duties
· Develop materials for a new hire training experience that builds competent and confident staff.
· Create engaging, effective, and innovative learning materials, including e-learning modules, videos, job aides, and other multimedia content.
· Design learning experiences – classroom, virtual, e-learning, job aids, and on-the-job solutions to support field operations onboarding to continuous learning.
· Support the intake of projects by assessing how learning can meet the organizational needs and recommend solutions that will result in performance and behavior changes.
· Develop learning and performance solutions by soliciting subject matter input via surveys, roundtables, focus groups, collaborative conversations, and/or observations.
· Design and develop live virtual learning and classroom materials, including slide decks, job aids, activity sheets and/or workbooks, facilitator guides, games, etc.
· Define criteria used to measure the successful transfer of knowledge and performance expectations by developing assessment instruments and monitoring results.
· Design and develop online learning solutions using authoring tools such as Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Captivate.
· Support a full range of Learning & Development programs including onboarding, career development, progressive level systems, and leadership development experiences.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills
· Bachelor's degree preferred in Instructional design, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
· Certification in instructional design or related fields is a plus.
· Proven experience as a learning experience designer, instructional designer, or training designer.
· Understanding of adult learning principles, leadership competencies, and instructional design methodologies.
· Proficient using Adobe Articulate Storyline or other e-learning authoring and development tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and multimedia content creation tools.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Creative thinker with strong leadership skills.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· A background in supporting regulatory content is preferred.
· Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
· Basic computer skills.
· Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
· Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
