What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT HELPDESK INTERN position at Bear Property Management Inc?
SUMMARY :
The IT Helpdesk Intern to gain practical experience by handling the tier 1-level support requests related to computers, network, software / hardware, and other technical issues. They are the first to touch a helpdesk ticket and make sure that the issue is handled quickly. When help is needed the IT Helpdesk Intern can escalate the issue to Sr IT Specialist or our MSP. The IT Helpdesk Intern is passionate about solving problems and helping others. It is your mission to provide outstanding customer service and support for internal team members including local and remote.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Expand IT skillset by learning new technologies and software through hands-on participation in new project onboarding
- Providing quick resolutions to help desk tickets and escalating as needed
- Maintaining office equipment
- Assisting staff with currently integrated audio / visual solutions for presentations, live-streams, etc.
- Deploying and Setting up new PCs / Tablets / laptops for new hires
- Installing and maintaining user hardware and software
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding tasks
- Assist with IT equipment inventory management
- Troubleshooting a variety of computer issues on-site, via phone, remote access or email
- Communicating with employees to diagnose and repair any issues that arise due to failed software, hardware, or internet-based components.
- Develop work habits through participation on IT team.
