Position Summary
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) provides high-level administrative support to the CMO by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls and scheduling meetings for the CMO. The Executive Assistant to the CMO supports the daily operational function of the CMO’s office and clinical departments under their supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the CMO’s calendar, including scheduling of meetings, appointments, making and confirming travel arrangements
- Schedules and staffs
- Performance Improvement (PI) Meeting
- Clinical Directors meetings
- Other Medical or Clinical department meetings as needed
- Prepares expense reports and time sheets.
- Inputting/Keeping record of Provider time
- Approving PTO Requests
- Provider Schedule Blocking/Unblocking - Leave i.e., CME, PTO, Jury duty
- Provides administrative support to the CMO and other members of the Clinical leadership team as instructed by the CMO
- Assists the CMO in preparing for Board of Directors, Executive Team and related staff meetings.

- Assists in drafting, transcribing and distributing departments’ correspondence.

- Maintains Provider CME accounts and submission for reimbursement
- Assists with Provider credentialing as needed
- Serves as coordinator of medical and clinical staff under the direction of the CMO
- Performs other related duties as assigned by CMO
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferred or Associates degree and/or pertinent coursework and minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an Executive Administrative support role
- Working in healthcare environment preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills; analytical and problem solving and personal computer skills including proficiency in use of word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Possesses a valid South Carolina driver’s license and clean driving record
