Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our Rehabilitation Unit. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, monitor progress, and assist individuals recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. As a member of our team, you will work closely with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, administer medications, and address patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage Nurse Schedules: Ensure adequate coverage across all units, addressing gaps due to absences or increased patient acuity.
- Assign Nursing Staff: Based on patient needs, acuity levels, and staff competencies to optimize care delivery.
- Respond to Emergencies: Develop and implement emergency response plans, coordinating with relevant departments as needed.
- Communicate Effectively: Serve as the liaison between nursing staff, physicians, patients, families, and hospital administration.
- Mentor and Support Staff: Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, addressing clinical questions and facilitating professional development.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a current state RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire, one year of experience preferred, and ASLS certification preferred.
