Vice President, Engineering

The Vice President of Global Operations Engineering is responsible for leading and overseeing the engineering department, ensuring the successful design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems. This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and technical expertise to drive innovation, efficiency, and quality in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the global operations.
• Collaborate with leadership to set strategic goals and priorities for the engineering department that supports the global operation efforts.
  
  

Program Management:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering initiatives ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Implement best practices and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  
  

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to increase manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Utilize DBS methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

Technology and Innovation:

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing engineering.
• Lead efforts to adopt and integrate new technologies and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  
  

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that engineering processes and products comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
• In partnership the QRC, implement and maintain robust quality control systems to minimize defects and ensure consistent product quality.
  
  

Budget and Resource Management:

• Develop and manage the engineering department’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Optimize the use of the workforce, equipment, and materials to achieve cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
  
  

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, R&D, and sales, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Serve as a key point of contact for engineering-related inquiries and provide technical expertise to support decision-making.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15 year of extensive experience in engineering leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial engineering, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven track record of leading successful engineering projects and driving process improvements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
• Certification in Six Sigma, PMP, or related methodologies.

The salary range for this role is 225000 - 275000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
