Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the global operations.
- Collaborate with leadership to set strategic goals and priorities for the engineering department that supports the global operation efforts.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering initiatives ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Implement best practices and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to increase manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Utilize DBS methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing engineering.
- Lead efforts to adopt and integrate new technologies and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Ensure that engineering processes and products comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
- In partnership the QRC, implement and maintain robust quality control systems to minimize defects and ensure consistent product quality.
- Develop and manage the engineering department’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Optimize the use of the workforce, equipment, and materials to achieve cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, R&D, and sales, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Serve as a key point of contact for engineering-related inquiries and provide technical expertise to support decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 15 year of extensive experience in engineering leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial engineering, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven track record of leading successful engineering projects and driving process improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Certification in Six Sigma, PMP, or related methodologies.
