Summary: The Manufacturing Quality Assurance Associate will be responsible for completing inspections of raw and finished products, reporting quality issues, maintaining records of inspection and scrapped material, and assisting with coordinating quality testing for product development needs.

Essential Functions (include but not limited to):

• Effectively time manage between completing daily inbound raw materials and finished product inspections using Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL) and performing Pass or Fail testing on inbound raw materials and finished products based on AQL.
• Heavy focus on inbound shipments inspections, requiring continual lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Maintaining daily data entry and detailed record-keeping in Excel, SharePoint, and other Microsoft platforms is a necessity
• Daily quality audits for manufacturing and warehouse
• Effectually manage the process of communication once AQL is deemed a pass or fail
• Manage RMA process and inspections
  • Initial inspection of RMA
  • Report RMA inspection findings and follow the standard communication process
  • Manage RMA inventory
  • Close RMA cases
• Comfortable with the responsibility of creating and communicating Quality Alert’s throughout the organization based on product non-conformance
• Responsible for making samples for Product Development approval
• Assist Product Development team with quality and product creation requests

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Three years of experience in quality standards is preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
• English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
• Strong computer skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Education/Experience/License Requirements:

•   Associate Degree desired or the equivalent related experience
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Three years of experience in quality standards
• Familiarity with foam, fibers, and threads is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Sensory Requirements: Should have working use of hearing and vision with or without the use of corrective lenses/hearing aids to be able to read paperwork, work on a computer screen for an extended period of time, and frequently speak on the phone.

Environmental: Factory warehouse setting, large open area, exposure to heavy machinery and motorized vehicles, exposed to extreme temperatures (not climate-controlled), loud and fast paced environment.

Language Skills: English proficiency required (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension). Knowledge of an additional language(s) is a plus!

Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic and algebra

Reasoning Ability: Solid understanding of branding and marketing communications strategies and tactics; excellent planning and problem-solving skills with limited resources; ability to effectively prioritize and project manage multiple assignments at any given time. Ability to use judgement to make important decisions.
