Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Secretary/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and be proficient in QuickBooks, to manage various accounting tasks effectively.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other financial software for daily transactions and record-keeping.
- Handle debits and credits accurately to maintain balanced accounts.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required; experience with other financial software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including tax regulations, debits, credits, and journal entries.
- Experience in accounts payable and receivable management is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is advantageous but not mandatory.
