Duties:
The Superintendent’s essential function is to manage all elements of the project. Including:
- Ensure that the safety regulations and housekeeping guidelines are followed
- Maintain high standard of quality control at all times
- With the Project Manager, coordinate material deliveries, and utilization, and subcontract work in accordance with progress schedule
- Keep the progress schedule current
Job Description:
- Ensure all change orders are properly executed and indicated on the As Built drawings
- Material inspections, document any missing or damaged materials
- Attend preconstruction and construction meetings
- Assist inspectors during onsite visits
- Maintain good relationships with inspectors, architects, subcontractors and other key people connected to the project
- Review shop drawings when they are issued and make sure Project Manager is aware of any issues
