Senior Counsel

About Us
We are a dynamic and forward-thinking company seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join our legal team. You will play a key role in advising on complex legal matters that impact business activities and operations. Your expertise will be essential in contract review, intellectual property management, employee and product liability matters, and other strategic legal projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial and business agreements, including NDAs, supply, manufacturing, consulting, vendor, license, marketing, sales, and real estate agreements. Implement policies and procedures for effective contract management.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure all contracts are accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Intellectual Property: Provide legal advice and support for the maintenance of the global trademark portfolio. Collaborate with outside trademark counsel on registrations, maintenance, practices, and policies.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to address complex issues related to contracts, commercial operations, employment and product liability matters, compliance, and other business matters.
- General Legal Support: Provide proactive and reactive legal counsel and perform other duties as required.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and in good standing.
- Experience: At least 5 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, with a combination of law firm and in-house counsel experience.
- Licensure: Active license to practice law in Illinois.
- Proven ability to negotiate and draft complex agreements independently
- Experience handling trademark matters, product liability, and employment claims.
- Strong business judgment with the ability to assess and manage risks.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple legal matters.
- High level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
