The Engineering Manager is responsible for the direct overview of every engineering project conducted at the plant to ensure that a high level of quality and safety is maintained from start to finish. The Engineering Project Manager will create and review the plans and financial projects for every job in the Plant. The Engineering Project Manager also serves as the liaison between the Engineering department and the Plant employees.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage engineering project process and lead team on all new equipment installation.
- Oversee that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures.
- Confirm project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices.
- Determine the cost and feasibility of each project and present to corporate for approval.
- Assist in the start-up of every line in the Plant.
- Supervise all start-ups and line issues and create a plan of action to repair or fix any problems
- Monitor due dates / deadlines and ensure that the responsible parties deliver on time.
- Draft, update and maintain layout plans for the Plant.
- Assist Maintenance department with any issues and building maintenance.
- Write all Procedure Expenditure Proposal forms for engineering and capital projects.
