1st Shift Laser Operator
Qualifications
· 1-3 years of experience nesting, setting up, operating CNC Plasma/Laser machines
· Strong personal commitment to safety standards in industrial and/or manufacturing environments.
· Advanced math skills with the ability to understand measuring/measurement concepts and their applications.
· Mechanically skilled, practical, logical thinking, hands-on
· Familiar with hand tools, power tools
· Proficient with reading a tape measure to 1/16th
· Strong attention to detail
· Experience using SIGMANEST or equivalent software
Responsibilities
· 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday through Friday with Overtime as required
· Loading materials onto the cutting bed, unloading cut parts, selecting appropriate cutting parameters based on material type and thickness
· Running pre-programmed cutting files, monitoring the cutting process, making adjustments as needed to maintain precision
· Monitoring the cutting process, cut parts for accuracy, identifying and reporting defects
· Performing routine cleaning and lubrication of the machine, monitoring coolant levels, identifying and reporting potential mechanical issues.
· Perform a variety of functions, such as de-burring, cleaning of parts, cutting, and removing scrap
· Ensure a safe & clean environment by complying with safety rules & procedures
· Adherence to Safety Protocols during operation of equipment including cranes, forklifts and other material handling devices
· Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
· Contribute to team efforts by performing related duties as instructed in a respectful manner
· Work well with others and have a team-oriented mindset
