Laser Programmer/Operator
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate multi-axis laser
- Perform typical laser cutting and programing operations
- Select proper cutting programs and proper fixtures
- Ability to add, subtract and multiply whole numbers, decimals and fractions. Convert decimals to fractions and vice versa.
- Read and interpret prints, drawings, and understand measuring instruments
- Edit programs to accomplish offset and part nesting.
- Maintain equipment and all support equipment necessary to complete jobs on Laser.
- Perform all daily, weekly and monthly maintenance as required.
- Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up laser machine
- Ability to operate the following plant equipment: forklift, hand cutting torch, pendant jib, gantry and overhead cranes
- Responsible for producing quality parts in the most productive manner while following safe work practices.
- Must be able to concentrate and maintain productivity in high pressure situations.
Familiarity with Trumpf TruLaser systems and SigmaNest Software a plus.
