How you will make an impact:

• Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Dive deep into market research, uncover untapped opportunities, and craft strategies that will keep us ahead of the curve. Your insights will fuel our growth and drive results.
• Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
• Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including projects and partnerships. Develop proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new contracts and business deals.
• Networking and Industry Engagement: Be the face of Benchmark at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the company. Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Partner with estimating, project management, and operations teams to secure new business and drive success. Provide market feedback and insights to shape company-wide strategic planning and be a critical voice in decision-making. Collaborate with market VPs on business development initiatives.
• Reporting and Performance Monitoring: Keep your finger on the pulse of our business development efforts. You will track, report, and analyze our performance, presenting to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement and ways we can strive for more.

What You Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

• 5-10 of proven experience in business development, preferably in the commercial construction industry.
• Strong understanding of the commercial construction market.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). (or equivalent experience)
• BD Experience in the Life science/pharma/manufacturing industries is beneficial but not required.
• You are hungry, humble, and smart.
