What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Accounting Assistant position at Benchmark CPA Group?
We are an accounting and tax firm currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team during tax season. We are looking for an outgoing, friendly face that will greet our clients and be the first impression for our company.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with payroll and various accounting tasks using Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online
- Customer service - greeting both walk-in as well as telephone clients in a cheerful and helpful manner
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail
- Scheduling client appointments and making reminder phone calls/texts
- Handling payments from clients
- Ordering supplies for the office
- Scanning documents
- Data entry with attention to detail
- Monitoring office email account, incoming faxes, and routing items to the appropriate individual
- Ability to work both individually as well as in a team environment
- Ability to operate general office equipment (multi-line phone system, computer, fax machine, scanner, copier)
- Complete other tasks as asked
Experience and Education:
- Prior office experience required
- Bachelor or Associates degree preferred but not required
- Quickbooks experience a plus
Hours and Pay:
- This is a full-time position.
- Office hours are 8AM-5:00 PM Monday - Friday
- Paid time off available

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour commensurate with experience
