POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years in the electrical trade.
- Experience in managing team members in an electrical service & maintenance operation is preferred.
- Applicant must be familiar with a variety of the electrical field’s concepts, practices, best practices, and procedures including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes and Lighting Systems where applicable.
- State of CO Journeyman’s License is mandatory.
- Valid CO Driver's License. A Commercial Driver’s License will need to be obtained within 6 months if a candidate does not currently have one. With clean MVR.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Electrical estimating experience is strongly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide overall management and direction for existing projects and share new business opportunities with our business development officer.
- Complete accurate and timely estimates for electrical projects.
- Establish & maintain an efficient schedule for crews.
- Maintain open and positive communication with employees, customers and vendors.
- Promote a proactive “safety first” approach to work and take corrective action when necessary.
- Partner with Senior Leadership in the proactive and reactive management of all service personnel including hiring, training, motivation, career development, reviews and safety.
- Organize and present at weekly manpower meetings and other company meetings as required.
- Represent the company in project meetings with contractors and/or owners.
- Complete projects within budget and established time frames.
- Anticipate material needs and partner with purchasing team to order material and schedule deliveries to jobsite or office in a timely manner.
- Carry out additional job tasks or assignments as needed.
