Position Overview:
Benchmark’s success comes from the profitability of selling loans and the Secondary Marketing Specialist is imperative in this process by locking loans correctly and efficiently with investors to ensure the highest gain on sale. This role also provides analysis of trade and lock profitability, trade reconciliation, and monitoring of competitor pricing.
Ideal candidates for this position will have a thorough knowledge of mortgage processing as well as pricing, buying, selling loans, and locking loan rates, and proven analytical abilities.
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Ensure loans are locked correctly and efficiently with all investors.
- Act as a liaison between loan originators and investors on pricing and lock issues.
- Analyze and report on trade profitability, lock profitability, trade reconciliation, and competitor pricing.
- Maintain and update the automated pricing engine.
- Identify process improvements and submit recommended changes to management.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two years secondary marketing or related experience required.
- Retail mortgage experience preferred.
- Experience with Encompass preferred.
Education/Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment.
- Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.
- Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).
- Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time.
- Requires sitting, bending.
- Works effectively with frequent interruptions.
