We are seeking a designer to create engaging user experiences for a variety of existing and new products on all devices/form factors. You will be part of a fast-moving Experience Design team that is focused on making our apps and website successful. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker able to understand business goals and product requirements, and translate those ideas into creative, innovative, and functional design concepts. Our designers work closely with other associates, including Researchers, Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Software Engineers, to design and implement software interfaces that are easy for our clients to use and that are aesthetically pleasing.
Responsibilities
- Create user friendly, effective, and engaging user interfaces across mobile, tablet, and web
- Combine design theory with a user-centered design process that includes consideration for content strategy, information architecture, and overall usability
- Drive user experience decisions for both new products and updates to existing products
- Work with Product Managers to rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions
- Review final implementation with developers to ensure design standards are followed
- Work across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders on the Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams
- Provide/take inspiration and constructive feedback to/from others
- Create final visual designs, storyboards, interaction flows, and interface guidelines
- Take a user-centered approach in crafting interaction solutions that meet both user needs and product strategy requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- 1-5 years as a key member of a user experience/product design team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of successfully launched web applications
- Comprehensive design portfolio demonstrating successful design projects across mobile, tablet, and web
- Exceptional skill in interaction design, visual design, wireframing, and user flows
- Strong desire to practice user-centered design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-versed in visual design theory and practice
- Strong skills in mediating and resolving competing requirements and designs
- Solid knowledge of Windows, Web, Android, iOS and cross-platform GUI standards
- Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, and to switch rapidly between different projects
- Experience Sketch and/or Adobe Creative Suite
- Design in Agile development environments a plus
- Understand of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap and/or Dust.js a plus
