Fund Contribution Processor (DeForest, WI)
Summary - Performs varied functions for health fund related to eligibility as noted below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Knowledge and understanding of Plan document as related to participant eligibility
- Maintain eligibility and personal information records for Fund participants
- Generate and mail necessary eligibility related documents
- Self-Pay Notices
- Notices of Cancellation of Fund Coverage
- COBRA election forms
- Coverage Reinstatement Notices
- Compile and mail new enrollment packets to newly eligible participants (active & retiree)
- Respond to participant inquiries via in person, phone and email regarding eligibility concerns
- Collect and post self-payments for coverage
- Process disability credits
- Process retiree credits
- Generate Medicare retiree eligibility monthly comparison file
- Coordinate with Fund service providers to maintain up to date participant eligibility information
- Periodic and annual Fund mailings including Summary of Material Modifications and Open Enrollment
- Process monthly HRA transfers
- Update Basys as needed due to premium changes
- Generate reports to determine dollar bank and HRA balances that should be moved to general account - quarterly
- Assist Plan Manager with preparation of eligibility-related reports for Board of Trustees meetings
- Assist with compilation of Fund records requested in connection with annual audit
- Draft forms and update website as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
Qualifications - This is a fast-paced department. Multi-tasking skills, detail oriented, strong organization and professional communications skills are required. In addition, candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education and Experience - High School diploma or GED. Prior related work experience or some post high school education preferred.
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret eligibility rules as outlined in the Plan documents, user manuals, department procedures manual and other related documents. Ability to speak clearly and effectively to explain to members, dependents, providers and trustees eligibility and participation provisions of the plans.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate hours and rates to determine self-payments, dollar bank hours, and funds transfers.
Reasoning Ability - Analysis and correction of member eligibility issues will be required.
Work Schedule
Full time (less than 40 hours but more than 30).
Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm with 1 hour lunch or 8:00am - 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch.
Requires in-office days but also offers at-home flexibility.

Pay
This is a union position. The pay rate offered is determined by the collective bargaining agreement and may be dependent on experience, education, location and other business factors. The current range for this position is $21.85 - $36.73 per hour.
