We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Survey Technician to join our dynamic team. This position requires proficiency in various surveying techniques and software, as well as a strong foundation in mathematics and data analysis.
Duties
- Conduct land surveys using traditional methods and modern technology, including GPS and total stations.
- Provide construction layout.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret survey data to produce accurate reports and maps.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD for land surveying applications.
- Perform mathematical calculations involving trigonometry and algebra to ensure precision in measurements.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to support project development.
- Maintain accurate records of survey results and methodologies used during the process.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation and presentations for clients.
Requirements
- Proficiency in land surveying techniques and equipment, including GPS and GIS systems.
- Strong mathematical skills, particularly in trigonometry and algebra.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel to job sites.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
- 5 years experience in land surveying.
- Travel may be required at times.
