Bennett Law & Mediation Services LLC has a Legal Receptionist position open located in Warner Robins. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience providing legal support to a team of 2-4 attorneys. This position provides a wide range of secretarial, administrative, and clerical support in a fast-paced Law office environment. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent organizational skills, be detail oriented, professional, dedicated, and committed to helping us meet all our clients' needs.
Responsibilities:
Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review
and case preparation
Draft and proofread correspondence
Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, as well as resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney
Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and
depositions
Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney's calendar and depositions
Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney's calendar and making travel arrangements
Assist with court preparation
Key all billable/nonbillable time for self and attorney
Keep office clean and “client ready”
Other Tasks Given by Attorneys/Office Manager/Trainer
Administrative tasks, including, but not limited to:
- Support the legal team with Clerical duties including answering the phone, processing incoming clients and follow up, processing deposition transcripts and file archiving.
- Calling attorneys, court staff, and clients to schedule appointments, hearings, mediations, and depositions.
- Sending deposition notices, and emails confirming appointments.
- Entering case data into a database
Working hours: M-F 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay: $10.00- Hourly
Skills:
- Microsoft Office for calendaring and tasking
- Great phone and communication skills
- The ability to quickly learn internal software for saving documents.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and a background in legal field.
- Ability to quickly learn new system for scanning, saving and searching for documents
- Great phone and communication skills
- Zoom
Qualifications:
Must have at least 1 year of prior experience working in a law office
Experience with a background in Family Law preferred.
