- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related financial field preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, business administration, or a similar field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline constraints.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google applications, and school financial software (or similar) with advanced typing and filing capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Assist business office personnel with daily operations and special projects as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records for the District's Food Service program.
- Coordinate with the Hearing Officer to ensure timely dissemination of information to the Board of Education.
- Respond promptly to public inquiries regarding District-related information.
- Assist with annual reporting, procurement and accounting functions as needed.
- Process and review monthly board checks and direct deposits.
- Oversee facility usage coordination and ensure compliance with certificate of insurance requirements.
- Coordinate and process stipends for payroll.
- Serve as a back-up for payroll processing.
- Assist with all personnel transactions including, but not limited to the collection and verification of required documentation, communication with candidates and assisting staff with employment needs.
- Support payroll and personnel departments by compiling reports and surveys, including, but not limited to staff attendance, Seniority and Graduate Study program needs.
- Assist in preparing the Personnel Report for the Superintendent.
- Maintain and organize human resources files for accessibility and compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to the business office and human resources functions.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support District initiatives and objectives.
- Uphold the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to public and community inquiries regarding District matters.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate effectively with District employees and vendors.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and address issues using written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
- Frequent use of hands, walking, talking, hearing, and operating office equipment.
- Ability to focus close-up tasks and adjust focus as needed.
- Occasional lifting, pulling, or pushing of items up to 20 pounds.
