Responsibilities:
- Build pallets according to provided drawings or custom specifications without drawings.
- Construct various items required for packaging products for shipment.
- Assist in packaging products for freight shipment.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
- Prior carpentry or construction experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read a ruler or tape measure.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, hammers, and wrenches.
- Experience with tools, such as air nail guns and framing nail guns.
- Proficiency with circular saws, chop saws, and cordless drills/drivers.
- Familiarity with pallet jacks.
- Experience operating fork trucks, including sit-down and stand-up reach trucks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
