Construction Management Instructor

Bergen Community College seeks experienced construction professionals to join our team as part-time instructors for a variety of non-credit construction trades courses. Successful candidates will possess a strong understanding of their respective fields and a passion for sharing their knowledge with adult learners.

POSITION SUMMARY

Bergen Community College's Construction Management Certificate Program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the construction industry. Through five core courses, students will gain expertise in safety regulations, blueprint reading, project management, contract law, and estimating, preparing them for entry-level roles and career advancement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and deliver engaging and informative course content aligned with industry standards and best practices
• Facilitate interactive learning experiences, including lectures, discussions, and practical exercises
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their learning
• Maintain accurate attendance records and other required documentation
• Collaborate with program coordinators and other instructional staff to ensure a high-quality learning environment

SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years experience working in the field
• 1 year in classroom setting with adult learners
• Experience in working with industry technology.

This position pays between $35 - $60 an hour.
