Accounting Assistant

We’d like to add a highly qualified accounting assistant to support the daily operations of the team. The ideal candidate has a natural aptitude for numbers and math. Under the direction of the financial manager, the accounting assistant’s main job will be Accounts Receivable, which requires retrieving payments from customer portals, downloading into excel and using advanced excel skills, i.e., xlookup, vlookup, etc., to integrate with QuickBooks reports. Other responsibilities will include updating and maintaining records, reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, merchants, PayPal statements, etc. Also, Accounts Payable knowledge is required.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
· Full charge of Accounts Receivables.
· Coding and posting Account Payables.
· Reconcile bank statements, credit card and merchant statements.
· Processing customer orders through Acctivate (Inventory Program that integrates with QuickBooks).
· Participate in month-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and sales tax computations.
Accounts Receivables will be an important part of this position
· Calculating commissions
Required skills and qualifications:
· Minimum of three years of proven accounting experience
· Excellent working knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
· Natural proficiency with numbers and math
· Experience with QuickBooks, accounting, and inventory programs
· Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and accounting principles
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Salary: $20 -$25 hourly DOE
