Job Summary
This role provides analytical, educational, and coordinating support for the performance improvement initiatives within the Service Line to positively impact patient outcomes, safety, efficiency, and patient experience. Through data collection and analysis, this position evaluates operational issues and makes recommendations to solve problems and identify opportunities for improvements.
Experience
- Three years of experience in quality management or previous experience in oncology clinical setting(s) required.
- Experience working across multiple clinical disciplines and professional roles.
- Previous work on registries/database strongly preferred.
- Experience with performance improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting regulatory surveys preferred.
Education
- Associate degree required; healthcare related field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare profession preferred.
License & Certifications
- CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Evidence of strong computer skills and experience with databases, registries and/or analytic software
- Excellent communication skills that support interaction with staff, regulatory/external agencies, and community.
- Basic understanding of a hospital medical record, including an electronic medical record (EMR) with ability to extract quantitative and qualitative data and store in protected data repository or registry.
- Experience with computers: Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheets/pivot tables, control charts, BCA/data visualization software.
- Experience of Meditech, Midas, MS Excel to build spreadsheets, BCA, Force Therapeutics, and other report writing and graphic displays.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws required.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to work independently to organize and prioritize projects, departments, and committees.
- Excellent presentation skills utilizing available formats (person-to-person, bulletin boards, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to be logical and efficient with keen attention to detail.
