As we continue to grow and modernize, we are seeking a dynamic and skilled technology, infrastructure and systems leader to help evaluate, build, and enhance our technological infrastructure. This role is pivotal in driving our companys technological evolution and ensuring seamless communication between systems, teams, and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Assessment and Development:
- Evaluate the companys existing technological infrastructure and assess, interpret and recommend solutions to enhance the information technology capabilities.
- Design and implement an IT Strategic Roadmap which will instill scalable and sustainable solutions. Manage and forecast capacity and security requirements based on business needs to meet current and future business needs.
- Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established company goals.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to advise on potential opportunities or challenges. Maintain knowledge of industry developments in hardware, software, security and network; and incorporate new developments into the technology roadmap
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance technological capabilities and operational efficiency.
Policy and Governance:
- Devise and establish IT policies, standards, and systems to support the implementation of our business strategies and service needs. Further, develop and maintain processes and procedures to mature the governance framework and IT capabilities.
- Establish information security practices, controls and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.
- Lead and manage business continuity planning; develop pre-planned routes to restore service.
- Collaborate with product, service, operations, finance, etc. to determine priorities and risks associated with the project portfolio. Actively participate in governance.
System Integration:
- Working with business leadership design, define and execute an enterprise architecture and roadmap which not only integrates disparate software systems into a cohesive information ecosystem but provides for the ongoing alignment of our technology to our evolving business needs. Ensure seamless data sharing and communication between not only our software platforms but our team members.
- Work with the organization and business areas to plan new development projects, including requirement gathering, documentation and communication.
- Participate actively in governance, working with the business team to assign and refine priorities.
- Lead projects (scope, requirements, standards, and full cycle project management).
- Provide estimates of the level of effort to implement a solution, based on business requirements.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Capture and analyze business department requirements to understand their technology needs. Translate business requirements into well architected solutions that best leverage existing systems.
- Direct the design, development, and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software to meet information and automation needs.
- Ensure relevant processes, procedures, and standards documentation for processes we automate are maintained current.
IT and System Support and Troubleshooting:
- Address and resolve daily technical issues for staff, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Lead and/or assist with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting as needed.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on new systems and tools.
- Develop documentation and user guides for implemented systems.
Leadership
- Oversee departmental staffing, partnerships, hardware and software acquisitions to ensure that they are consistent with the companys business plan.
- Manage partnerships. Evaluate current partnerships and assess, interpret and recommend solutions to enhance our environment for greater cost benefit. Build and sustain relationships with partners, assuring service delivery quality.
- Mentor and develop. Select, develop, and motivate qualified staff to effectively carry out department functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems integration, or a related role.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address both immediate technical issues and long-term strategic needs.
- Experience with system integration and creating automated workflows between software platforms.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Familiarity with construction industry software (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam) is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
