What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Detailer/Shop Assistant position at Best Body Shop?
The Detailer is both the first and last person to physically touch a vehicle in our shop. Every vehicle gets pre washed before entering into repairs and then receives a final repair detail once all repairs are accomplished. We are extremely particular about how our clients receive their vehicles after repairs and it is of the utmost importance to us that the vehicle is cleaner than when it arrived to us. The detailer position also helps with cleaning and errands throughout the shop. The detailer also helps with miscellaneous offsite errands from time to time, such as picking up parts or portering client vehicles, so a valid driver's license and clean driving record is required. Detail experience is a bonus but is not required.
Duties and Responsibilities: Pre and Post repair cleaning of vehicles including, but not limited to:
- Pre-Washing Vehicles Before Disassembly
- Moving Vehicles to Total Loss when needed
- Moving Vehicles to green light when needed
- Maintaining property, detail area and shop cleanliness
- General Errand Running
- Pulling Cars in and Out from lot
- Wet sand and Polish
- Post Repair Detail
- Helping Parts Department as needed
Job Requirements:
- Ability to maintain a Humble, Hungry, and Smart attitude
- Fast-paced environment combined with high customer satisfacation
- Detail-Oriented with excellent attention to accuracy
- Highly organized with the ability to be efficient in workflow
- Capable to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in auto detailing is a plus, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
