Job Title: Appliance Installation and Repair Technician
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by diagnosing, disassembling, and repairing large products in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Experience: Provide advice on products and services, perform complex work, evaluate device issues, and de-escalate difficult client interactions as needed.
- Route Management: Manage routes, part orders, and returns to avoid excessive costs and losses.
- Triage and Order Management: Perform triage, manage client expectations, keep work orders up to date, and close orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Alternative Solutions: Offer alternative solutions when customers choose not to continue with their repair.
- Inventory and Vehicle Maintenance: Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members.
- Team Feedback and Training: Provide feedback and training opportunities to your team.
Requirements:
- Experience: 6 months of experience delivering, installing or repairing consumer electronic products; 1 year of experience in a customer service or in-home services environment; 1 year of experience in an electronics industry.
- Qualifications: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends; current, valid driver's license; must be at least 21 years old; have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards; acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire.
- Physical Abilities: Able to lift 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds with help.
