Appliance Installation and Repair Technician
As a highly skilled Appliance Installation and Repair Technician, you will travel to customers' homes to diagnose, disassemble, and repair large products. Your primary goal is to provide exceptional services that exceed customer expectations and ensure orders are completed in a manner that maximizes profitability.
You will play a crucial role in providing a seamless customer experience by offering expert advice on products and services. This includes performing complex work, evaluating the severity of device issues, and de-escalating difficult client interactions as needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Customers' Products for Repair in the Home: You will be responsible for preparing customers' products for repair in their homes, ensuring that all necessary tools and equipment are available.
- Managing Routes, Part Orders, and Returns: You will manage routes, part orders, and returns to avoid excessive costs and losses, maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity.
- Triage, Client Expectations, Work Orders, and Order Closure: You will perform triage, manage client expectations, keep work orders up to date, and close orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Offering Alternative Solutions: You will offer alternative solutions when customers choose not to continue with their repair, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Inventory and Vehicle Maintenance: You will manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members, ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
- Providing Feedback and Training Opportunities: You will provide feedback and training opportunities to your team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with Home Theater and Appliance Products: You must have experience actively using and learning about home theater and appliance products.
- Delivery, Installation, or Repair Experience: You must have at least 6 months of experience delivering, installing, or repairing consumer electronic products.
- Customer Service or In-Home Services Experience: You must have at least 1 year of experience in a customer service or in-home services environment.
- Electronics Industry Experience: You must have at least 1 year of experience in the electronics industry.
- Flexible Schedule: You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Valid Driver's License: You must have a current, valid driver's license.
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 21 years old.
- Driving Record: You must have a driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards.
- Licensing: You must acquire and maintain any state or local licensing required within 90 days of hire.
- Physical Abilities: You must be able to lift 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds with help.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer Service Experience: You must have customer service experience, including resolution of complex issues.
