Appliance Installation and Repair Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled Appliance Installation and Repair Technician to join our team. As an experienced professional, you will travel to customers' homes to diagnose, disassemble, and repair large products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Customers' Products for Repair: You will prepare customers' products for repair in their homes by thoroughly assessing the issue and recommending the best course of action.
- Manage Routes, Part Orders, and Returns: You will manage routes, part orders, and returns to avoid excessive costs and losses, ensuring that every job is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Perform Triage and Manage Client Expectations: You will perform triage, manage client expectations, keep work orders up to date, and close orders in an accurate and timely manner, providing exceptional customer service at every step.
- Offer Alternative Solutions: When customers choose not to continue with their repair, you will offer alternative solutions to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
- Manage Inventory and Vehicle Maintenance: You will manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
- Provide Feedback and Training Opportunities: You will provide feedback and training opportunities to your team, helping them grow and develop in their roles.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience delivering, installing, or repairing consumer electronic products, as well as 1 year of experience in a customer service or in-home services environment.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of home theater and appliance products, including their features and functionalities.
- Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong attention to detail.
- Licensing and Certifications: Must be able to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire.
