Project Manager

Best Custom Homes (BCH) is a residential construction company based in Evergreen, Colorado. We partner with homeowners, real estate agents, architects, and subcontractors to build and remodel homes in the mountain communities west of Denver and within the Denver metropolitan area. This position works primarily in the Evergreen office and at project sites to manage the full-cycle construction process.

Job Summary:

• Interact with clients and provide guidance from the first meeting to the close out of the warranty period; for example: materials selections, construction progress, and punch list items.
• At project inception, work with the Customer Accounts Manager and client to create an estimate that later becomes the budget.
• Organize, schedule, and assign work to subcontractors, order materials from vendors, and coordinate with BCH staff.
• Use our construction software, Buildertrend, for project management.
• Help ensure the budget stays on target; process change order requests and purchase orders; work closely with clients and accounting.
• Create and manage subcontractor agreements.
• Attend and actively participate in design meetings with vendors.
• Proactively identify roadblocks for the project such as material delays, subcontractor availability, or budgeting issues, and suggest and implement alternative ways to complete the work.
• Read and understand construction plans and blueprints.

Qualification Requirements:

• Four years of project management experience and two years of construction management experience, or a combination of related experience.
• Degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Work effectively as part of a team as well as individually.
• Awareness and willingness to comply with OSHA job site safety requirements.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to occasionally lift or carry 20 to 75 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally assist with lifting or carrying up to 120 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all types of weather, inside unheated areas, and/or dusty and noisy environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
