Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Tire Technician to join our team at Best-One Tire & Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing commercial and large equipment tires, performing fleet checks, and completing minor service and repairs on customer vehicles.
Responsibilities include:
- Removing, installing, rotating, balancing, and performing flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires in the shop or at customer locations
- Preparing retreads by discussing tread options with customers, preparing work orders, putting them in staging areas, and loading them onto trucks
- Unloading treads from trucks and stacking them in warehouse areas
- Raising and lowering vehicles safely using hydraulic or floor jacks and operating all shop machinery
- Operating and maintaining diagnostic equipment and reading work orders thoroughly to complete all listed tasks within company time standards
Requirements and Qualifications
- Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety protocols
- Having a valid driver's license with a driving record meeting our insurance requirements
- Being able to lift up to 50 pounds continuously and standing for extended periods
- Working effectively in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment as part of a team
- Having excellent attention to detail, reliability, and schedule flexibility to accommodate customer needs
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent squatting, bending, twisting, lifting over 50 pounds from the ground to chest high, repetitive motion, and sustained vibrations
- Working in an environment not climate-controlled with varying temperatures and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-reinforced footwear
