About the Role
This key position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks including tire installation, repair, and replacement. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be physically fit, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough inspections of commercial and large equipment tires
- Removing and replacing tires as needed, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
- Preparing retreads and loading/unloading them from trucks
- Maintaining and operating shop machinery, diagnostic equipment, and other tools
- Reading work orders and completing tasks accurately and efficiently
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid driver's license and meeting the company's insurance requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy objects regularly
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Willingness to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing demands
Work Environment
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequent squatting, bending, and twisting. Regularly lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high is also required. The individual must be comfortable working in an environment without climate control.
