Guest Room Attendant/Housekeeping

Best Western Hotel Chequamegon is looking for energetic full-time and part-time Housekeepers. The housekeeping attendants clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas using established standards of cleanliness/sanitation to ensure guest satisfaction. Job Duties:

--Maintains hotel rooms and common spaces to ensure a safe and clean experience for guests, associates, and vendors.

--Stocks cleaning carts with supplies and maintains clean and orderly carts/closets/storerooms to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning.

--Strips bed of soiled linens and remakes with fresh linens.

-- Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures, phones and wall hangings.

--Checks lights, TV remotes, and heating/cooling units to ensure all are in working order.

--Cleans/wipes all room surfaces: desks, tables, walls, windows, doors, and fixtures

--Empties trash and rinses recepticals.

--Disinfects shower walls and tub, toilets, sinks and floors to ensure a sanitary washroom. Replaces towels, toilet tissue, kleenex, soaps, and amenities

--Restocks coffee station, cups and missing/soiled literature

--Checks closet for forgotten items and cleanliness, wiping all surfaces and overhead shelves and ensuring adequate hangers, extra blankets and pillows

--Vacuums rooms and hallways.

--Transports soiled linens to laundry room and replenishes with clean stock.

--Helps sort, spot treat, wash, dry and fold sheets and towels.

--Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor and works well with others.

--Performs other duties requested by supervisor.

Qualifications: Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment. Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms overhead, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks. Ability to push, pull and/or lift equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
