Enrollment/Financial Aid Operations Specialist
General Description
The Enrollment/Financial Aid Operations Specialist reports to the Vice President for Enrollment and Athletics This position will also have a dotted line to the Associate Vice President for Financial Aid and Enrollment. This is a mid-level position that will be a critical position within the Center for Enrollment. The Enrollment/Financial Aid Operations Specialist position is a 12-month full-time position with a competitive benefits package as well as an option to work remote one or two days a week.
Position Summary
The Enrollment/Financial Aid Operations Specialist performs an array of systems work. This includes data and or document processing, records updates, quality assurance and control efforts, integrity functions, testing, imaging, and customer service. The Specialist collaborates with the Enrollment Management team on numerous projects, using various computer systems. Adheres to applicable policies, processes, practices, and guidelines in order to serve applicants, prospects, callers, emailers, visitors, and colleagues effectively, accurately and efficiently.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Generation of inquiries, applications, accepted and deposited students.
· Processes all incoming applications and accompanying transcripts, test scores and recommendation letters for all applicants (undergraduate, transfer, graduate, international)
· Imports all prospective student data (including search) from application CRM into systems database
· Prepares and maintains student documentation during enrollment process
· Monitors inquiries, files and databases efficiently and effectively to ensure that all tasks completely accurately and efficiently
· Run daily financial aid processes
· Manage financial aid notification
· Assist with financial aid set up and processing
· Tracks and processes all incoming fees and deposits
· Serves as liaison to Enrollment Officers, Financial Aid Officers and other internal departments as appropriate
· Serves as back-up coverage for the admissions reception front desk (answering phones and assisting prospective students and families as needed)
· Exhibits student centeredness in performance of all job duties

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Technical skills/Computer savvy
· Work on multiple tasks simultaneously
· Detail oriented and perform with high level of quality of precision
· Possess strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills with the ability to proactively
manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
· Also demonstrate strong attention to detail, as the candidate in this role will work with logistics,
and different modes of communication
· Must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to be resourceful, proactive and seek
assistance as needed
· Must have a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Sufficient computer experience to
demonstrate the ability to learn new software/database, Element 451 and Colleague
· Must be flexible and able to take on additional and varied tasks as the need arises. Able to work outside
of regular business hours as needed to manage events. Events may be in the evening or on the weekend
· Good listening skills and takes direction well from supervisor
Required Minimum Qualifications
· High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
· Familiarity with student information systems, MS Office, Element451 (Colleague, Slate, Recruiter and similar enrollment CRM)
· Enrollment and Financial Aid experience of 1 to 3 years preferred but not required
· A valid driver's license and good driving history are required
