Human Resources Manager
Bethlehem Construction, Inc., is seeking a dynamic and dependable Human Resources Manager to join our Cashmere, WA team. The Company has been in business for over 46 years and is located in Washington State.
The HR Manager will be located in the Cashmere, WA, Office and will focus on the day-to-day operational tasks of Human Resources. This position works closely with employees at multiple locations to ensure they feel valued and supported.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Lead and supervise the routine functions of the HR and Administrative team
· Manage and develop recruitment strategies and the employee selection process.
· Collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
· Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
· Responsible for maintaining and managing the company's worker's compensation program.
· Partner with leadership on safety programs, enforcing policies and evaluating practices to ensure compliance with legal guidelines, training, and initiatives.
· Maintain OSHA compliance
· Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
· Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
· Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization
· Nurture a positive working environment
· Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high-performance
· Maintain benefits program
· Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
· Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Responsible for achieving set goals for the HR Department.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proven working experience as an HR Manager or Senior Generalist
· People-oriented and results-driven
· Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
· Excellent active listening skills, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
· Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· In-depth knowledge of labor law and regulations and HR Best practices
· Knowledge of HR software and databases such as Bamboo HR and Sage, preferred
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
· A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
· At least three years of human resource experience preferred in manufacturing or a related field.
· At least two years of experience in a Workers' Compensation role
· Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate manufacturing and construction sites as needed
