Human Resources Manager
The City of Sunnyside is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager works under the general supervision of the City Manager. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient execution of all facets of HR including but not limited to labor relations, employee benefits, policy development, payroll, recruitments, disciplinary matters and strategic development. Some main job functions include:
- Coordinates the operations of the Human Resources Department while exercising independent judgement within established guidelines.
- Provides expertise, direction, and guidance in labor relations, policy development, employee benefits and HR strategies
- Coordinates with departments to facilitate successful recruitments from position requisition to on-boarding of new staff
- Processes background checks, employee verifications, reference requests and other employment related information requests
- Compiles, evaluates, and analyzes information and data related to employees, positions, job descriptions, salaries and benefits as requested for various studies and annual budget preparation
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources or related functions
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Paid Vacation & Sick Leave (Accrual up to 8 hours per month
