A Better Opportunity

The ideal candidate will efficiently navigate data to support department and firm-wide initiatives while influencing executive decision-making by providing key market insights. Additionally, this position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to drive strategy and optimize tactics related to capital markets.
Responsibilities
- Quickly learn the firm’s hedge analytics platform and proprietary LOS, and become proficient at managing a locked pipeline of mortgage loans.
- Facilitate ratesheet generation, reconcile reports on daily position movements and P&L, and assist with settlements of bulk and mini-bulk trades.
- Build data visualization dashboards to understand key pipeline trends and characteristics.
- Facilitate execution of loan sales and analyze results to drive actionable improvements to achieve best execution.
- Perform reconciliation of TBA hedge position and margin calls daily.
- Facilitate business development with new investors by managing the onboarding process between all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Aggregate, summarize, and opine on mortgage market color and street research for internal review.
- Ad hoc SQL requests.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL
- Python a plus
- Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights.
- Demonstrates ability to solve complex problems independently and in a team setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to self-manage project completion amidst frequent interruptions by market-driven or time sensitive tasks.
