Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage patient files, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform insurance verification to confirm coverage and benefits for patients.
- Handle medical collections with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for data entry tasks efficiently.
- Maintain effective phone etiquette while answering calls and addressing patient inquiries.
- Assist with coding procedures to ensure proper billing practices.
- Collaborate with office staff to streamline office operations and improve patient experience.
- Schedule surgeries and imaging studies at different facilities.
- Follow up on insurance claims, create, develop, and submit insurance appeals.
- Perform other clerical duties and responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong skills in patient service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using office systems and software relevant to medical practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing files and records.
