We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender and Server to join our dynamic team. As a Bartender and Server, you will help to create a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks, helping floor staff when able and ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience. You will play a key role in our establishment by not only mixing beverages but also engaging with customers and enhancing their overall happiness while drinking and dining with us.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
- Engage with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport to enhance their experience.
- Upsell drinks and menu items to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Operate the Toast ordering system and cash register, process payments accurately, and handle cash transactions responsibly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or bartending is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink costs.
- Knowledge of culinary practices is a plus, particularly in relation to food pairings with beverages.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- A passion for mixology and willingness to learn about new drink recipes and trends.
