Under general supervision, is responsible for providing research and administrative assistance to division attorneys; drafts legal documents and correspondence; files case documents in a timely manner; maintains reporting statistics; and performs related duties as required.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Responsible for retrieving, compiling, and organizing all discovery from law enforcement agenciesPrepares cases for docket to include issuing subpoenas, obtaining restitution amounts, compiling petitions and reports and collecting other case informationAssists attorneys with current case law research and case preparationRequests investigative searches for prior convictions, vehicle registration, bankruptcies and current addressesDrafts legal documents and other correspondence such as probable cause paragraphs for at-large/re-filed cases and synopsis for Grand Jury presentationsMaintains division statistics involving caseload informationMaintains calendar for case settings and hearings and notifies law enforcement personnel of trial datesProvides case status information to judges, law enforcement agencies, victims, bail bondsmen and opposing attorneysPerforms related duties as required
