The primary focus of this position is to increase company revenue by identifying new business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies.
Duties
Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities
Lead capture activities, opportunity and proposal reviews
Present multiple lines of business for the same organization
Identify and qualify legitimate business opportunities, providing a consultative and value-added approach to develop relationships
Expand sales opportunities by leveraging various contracting vehicles, including the SBA 8(a) set-aside program.
Identify, qualify, develop capture strategies and proposal win themes
Develop new subcontracting and teaming opportunities with larger prime contractors and strategic teaming partners
Prepare Bid, No-Bid, Gap Analysis and Shape opportunities to increase win probability.
Maintain complete action item tasks and opportunity pipeline capture efforts to ensure continuity of communication and actions across diverse team members
Brief leadership at specified milestones in the capture process
Conduct after action reviews for all contracts and to document lessons learned while identifying the necessary adjustments to capture techniques, strategy, and actions
Work closely with leadership to develop, coordinate, and implement cohesive short- and long-term sales and BD strategies within target Federal agencies
Establish long-term relationships and partnerships with executives in the Federal government. As well as established long-term relationships with larger primes and strategic teaming partners
Create visual presentations and promotional work to support marketing efforts
Assist in negotiating contractual terms and conditions
Work with the PMO Team to ensure smooth handoffs
Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs
Qualifications
Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the federal contract procurement process
Independently Driven, a “go-getter”
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Exceptional leadership and management skills
Sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Strong business acumen
Detail-oriented and persuasive
Ability to prioritize, lead and manage multiple projects and tasks to successful completion
